Chris begins every morning asking himself how he might be able to make a positive difference in someone's life; then he goes and tries to execute on that question.

His 30+ year career has been molded around the philosophy of giving, going where others aren't, taking the road less traveled, seeing opportunities others don't, taking calculated risks AND having a boatload of fun doing it.

Chris started the organization in 2001 after recognizing that, as an Entrepreneur and business owner, and a graduate of the "University of Hard Knocks", he intimately understood the pains, chaos, sense of isolation and feelings of being overwhelmed that all entrepreneurs and business owners feel and he wanted to do something about it.

He manages each client engagement with the same passion and tenacity as if the client's business were his own; the client's money were his own.

L.C. Haug & Associates works exclusively on start-ups, entrepreneurs, small and mid-market businesses with revenue up to $30,000,000.

Chris's specialties and expertise include business advisory, strategic planning, finance, accounting and administration. He is responsible for all CFO, Controllership and Accounting Management assignments.

In addition to L.C. Haug & Associates, he has founded, grew, and managed four new ventures, including the first e-commerce on-line retailer specializing in the sport of man's and women's Lacrosse.

His experience, skills, and education give him a true edge when working with entrepreneurs, small and mid-market organizations. He knows what it takes to run a business, knows the questions to ask, and the numbers on which to focus. Chris is highly analytical and possesses the unique ability to distill complex organizational issues into easily understandable and manageable sub-components, then trains the Owner, managers and staff on cost effective systems to manage them.

Chris has served as CFO, COO, Controller, Accounting/Finance/IT Manager for several organizations including a mid-Atlantic general contractor/construction manager with annual revenue of $65MM, a major publicly held real estate developer with a portfolio of 89 regional shopping centers and 15+MM square feet of office, mixed-use and flex space, as well as a residential, land, office and shopping center developer with a portfolio of development and operating properties valued at $150+MM, wholesalers, retailers, and several e-commerce business organizations.

Chris holds an MBA from Loyola University and a BS in Environmental Science from Purdue University. He is a Quickbooks Pro Advisor and a member of CFMA (Construction Financial Manager Association), and ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers)

Dr. Toby Gouker, PhD - Chief "Fun" Officer/Managing Director

Toby joined the organization in 2009 to bring his 30+years of expertise and experience in senior operations, marketing strategy, product development, IT systems, organizational development and project management to bear for the benefit of our clients.

His career spans the government consulting and contracting, manufacturing, biotechnology, bulk chemicals, e-commerce, internet, e-learning, and education fields. His specialties include all aspects of operations and project management.

Toby is currently serving as Chief Strategy Officer for a Certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business IT Management organization and Strategic Advisor for a Certified HUB Zone contractor. In these roles, he is responsible for establishing overall business strategy including program acquisition, registration, proposal development and management.

Toby has a long and highly successful track record in the on-line, higher eduction

Toby served as Chief Operating Officer for Certisusa, LLC, where Toby led start-up, research, design,manufacturing, operations, marketing, and sales of a complete line of bio-engineered products and organically engineered bio-pesticides; generating more than $40MM in sales to a wide variety of agricultural end users throughout the Americas and the Austrailia and Asia continents.

Toby has successfully served as Chief Operating Officer for a Section 8A WOSB government contractor and was responsible for the organization being awarded more than $25MM in new contracts to a base of $5MM in existing government programs.

Toby also has a long and successful track record in the on-line, higher education industry, having served as Executive Director or Vice President with organizations that include Laureate Education, U.S Pharmacoepia, Walden University and American Graduate University.

Toby is a graduate and undergraduate professor in business, information systems, and project management at American Graduate, Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Walden and DeVry Universities. Read more.....
